This stone apple tree was incorporated into a walled garden and was situated at the end of an orchard. As well as being able to enjoy it up close, my client also wanted to be able to see it from her kitchen, looking up through the apple trees in her orchard.

Stone Spiral
This stone spiral formed one side of what was to be a secret walled garden, which itself was built within a larger walled garden. It is constructed using an assortment of reclaimed stone types including, blue and white Lias, Ashler and reclaimed old stock handmade bricks.

Bespoke creations
This a collection of my more bespoke and creative projects I’ve undertaken of late. Most are from recycled stone and are constructed entirely with their environment in mind. It is impossible to overstate how much pleasure I derive from this kind of work.

Teal pond and drainage channel
This teal pond and drainage channel had fallen into terrible disrepair after decades of neglect. The pond was fed by water from a nearby woodland, which then flowed through the pond, over the weir and down through the stone channel to a lake.

Hillside stairway
This stairway had fallen into such dilapidation that it had almost been entirely swallowed up by nature. All of the stone, over decades, if not centuries, had tumbled down the hillside and been overgrown by grass and foliage. All that remained, after extensive digging, were the actual steps themselves.

Radius paving
This pathway encircled a lawn with enclosed water feature and pond. It was constructed using Indian fossil mint natural stone slabs. No two slabs were the same and many of them had ancient plant and mineral fossils embedded in them. Such a beautiful stone to work with.
